The Barley Crop in the Land of Israel
For many years we believed what we were taught; that the barley harvest
in the land of Israel occurred sometime during the first month, or second
month. Unfortunatly, we were unable to confirm that statement because no
one in the land of Israel - that we know of - actually reaped a harvest. Then,
we later discovered that this statement (concerning the Ancient Israelite's
Barley Harvest) was actually based on conjecture, derived from reading
certain accounts in the book of Exodus. But, these accounts spoke of grain
growing in Egypt - not Israel. Furthermore, according to "The Israelite
Calendar Coalition", the month of Abib is determined by the first sprouts.
If this is so, then it would be impossible for the grain to be ripe in the first
month. Therefore, we decided to use our own grain, and have been doing so
consistantly for many years.

Each stage of growth represents approx. 5 to 7 days.
